any point to root tabs?

I'm doing pretty well with high light, ei dosing, co2, yadda yadda yadda... running the same tank for a couple years now..

Convince me I'd benefit from root tabs or osmo caps..

It is optional.
Some people do not want high levels of water column ferts, so slow release fertilizer in the substrate suits them better.
Some people do not want to dose the tanks daily, so again, the slow release tablets last a long time, so dosing is monthly or every 6-8 weeks or whatever the label says.
