Brown algae, don't think it's diatoms
So I have a ten gallon tank that has been cycled for quite a while. The problem is, this brown algae that previously caused me to uproot everything and change out the substrate is back again. It's brown, fluffy looking, and tends to form these webs that cling to the substrate, so when I suck it out it pulls the gravel with it. It previously suffocated the UG I was growing, and seems to want to do so again.
It will also cling to fine leaved plants (which I have a lack of now).
I have pressurized CO2 and medium-high light. It's driving me crazy. I'll take a picture when it inevitably shows its face again, but I just flushed most of it down the toilet.
Also, I don't really dose anything because I feel like that was the root of the problem last time. But I did throw in some plantex CSM+B recently because my downoi is inexplicably melting.
