O2 level measurements I've got from my tank

I've borrowed a O2 meter from a friend of mine which he used in his reef tank, and got some quite interesting measurements.

Measurement taken 1.5 ft submerged in the middle of the tank, at least 6 inches away from nearest plant.
Temp: 25C
Photo period: 13 hours
Lowest point: 5.5ppm from about an hour before light on to light on.
Hghest point: 9.6ppm 2 hours before light out (100% Saturation)
Pearling point: 7.9ppm 8 hours after light on (pearling from injuried plants or weak nodes excluded)

O2 level can vary by as much as 1 ppm in different area of tank during photo period.

Hope you would find this interesting. Any other methods you guys would recommend me to try before I returning the meter?

Dose a lot of PO4 in the AM, see the difference in the DO.

Your reading about about right.

A little low in the AM, might consider increasing surface turbulance.
You can see how that influences the DO readings then also.

I have tried raising my PO4 to about 1 ppm, and 100% oxygen saturation was reach around 3 hours earlier than before (0.5 ppm). The only side effect was that I got about 4 days worth of spot algae grown on the front glass in just one day, maybe raising other stats would help?

Bump the CO2 up=> more pearling=> more uptake.

Low PO4 and CO2 will encourage GSA.

I needed to add more CO2 a long time ago than most since the light was higher and I was adding PO4 before most.
