Carbon filter media, and CO2

I have a wet/dry filter 20g ish, i have my equipment in there as well. i have my heater and co2 in the well under the bioballs area. My CO2 line has an air stone that i placed in an open ended pvc pipe to keep the bubbles from rising up above that, i also have my mechanical filter sponges placed on top of the PVC to further dissipate the bubbles from rising to the surface fast, i began using carbon recently to keep my water from tanning with all the wood i have in the tank. The carbon pack is on top of the mechanical sponges. Will this affect my CO2 will carbon absorb any co2 and or ferts i put into the tank? the wood i use is local drift wood from the creeks, it tans the water tea colored rapidly without the carbon. Suggestions? Thanks

Activated carbon should not affect CO2 levels.

Google activated carbon and you will find that it adsorbs chemical compounds that form large molecules, but hardly adsorbs small molecules at all. Inorganic compounds like CO2 and our usual fertilizer chemicals, all form small molecules, so AC doesn't adsorb them.
