Post Your Dosing Regimen!

There are often questions on the forum about what to dose and how much, etc. Just about everyone uses a regimen that works for them -- whether it be dry ferts, liquid ferts, Co2 or no, etc. So I thought it might be interesting for everyone to post their specs and what they dose that others can reference.

Please include a photo of your tank and tank specs such as:
  • Size
  • Lights
  • Substrate
  • Co2 or no (feel free to post details)
  • What you dose, how much and how often (be specific please); include root tabs if you use them
  • List of plants in your tank
  • How long you have been using your regimen and how it's working for you; any problems you've encountered, etc.
  • Any other details that you feel are relevant
  • Photo of your tank

No photos.

I run a lot of tanks ranging from 10 gallon up to 125 gallon, and a small indoor pond.
I am dosing about 700 gallons worth of planted tanks. Some of the others are not planted, for example the brackish water tank, or have carnivorous plants that do not want fertilizer.

1) Put enough Macros in a 2 liter bottle to dose for 3 weeks.
2) Add 2100 ml water (Yes, it fits- the 2 liter bottle I am using is full to the very top)
3) Dose the tanks @ 1 ml per 3 gallons of tank size.

Do the same for Micros.

I started with EI dosing, and 50% water changes. I have reduced each material to the right levels for my tanks, about 1/4 of EI dosing, and no massive water changes. Very little KNO3, the fish food supplies almost enough N, so I use K2SO4 for more potassium, based on plant observations.

I am in the process of moving the tanks out to a greenhouse where they get a lot more light, so am adjusting the CO2 and dosing.

When they were in the house they were all low light, DIY (Yeast) CO2.

Plant list: All the easy stuff, and I keep picking up trimmings of the more difficult plants and have had some that work, and more now that there is more light.
