Ph swing effect on inverts, plants and fish.

My tap is about 8.8 ph while my tank water is about 6.0. If I do a 25g water change on a 75g tank what effect will this have on fish plants and inverts?

It should have no bad effect, unless you are now using something like RO/DI water with a small amount of GH builder in it. Then the sudden increase in KH and/or GH could be a problem for some fish and possibly for crypts. Do you know why your tank water pH is that much lower than the tap water?

Aquasoil and driftwood put it in the 6's and the increased co2 put it in the very low 6's if not in the high 5's!

I haven't tested my KH/GH from tap but the tank is <1 KH 7 GH
