What kind of dosing method are you going with? PPS-Pro or EI?

I would suggest ei, it's really easy, also if you don't want to dose the ferts dry I can help you with making a liquid solution. It's really easy. Let me know what you decide.

estimative index... basically means dose everything the plants need (Macros & Micros 3x a week, Gh booster 1x, and optionally Fe 2x) and then do a 50% water change to make sure you don't have a buildup of nutrients that aren't being used.

You can get the package and then you'll still need Ca and Mg. Mg you can get at walmart, it's in the pharmacy section and its called Epsom Salts. It's about $3.00. Not sure if it's cheaper to order it or not. Might also want to get Fe too if you have Fe-loving plants

PPS-Pro is the exact opposite of E, supplying plants with just enough nutrients per day so they use it all up by the end of the day

https://www.sites.google.com/site/aq...r/home/pps-pro

This method is used so you have controlled plant growth and for the lazy people as your plants don't grow too fast and due to the fact that the plants use up all the nutrients every day, you don't need water changes.

I'm thinking pps pro is more appealing. Having to change half of a 45 gallon tank weekly does not appeal in comparison.
