New Tank ... Fertilizing?

I just started a new tank 5 days ago - I am not through the cycle yet (clearly)... just wondering how soon I need to start adding ferts. I am planning to do the EI style. I have some algae starting to grow and there are a variety of reasons for this one of them being not enough nutrients.

I have ADA malaya soil. Pressurized CO2.

I think the ADA products have some fertilizer in them so you do not need to go right out and start fertilizing right away.

If you want to, however, you will not need to dose nitrogen because plants use ammonia just fine.
