TDS goes up at night and down during the day?

I've noticed this effect in 2 of my tanks consistently, when measured at night the TDS reads about 10 higher than during the day. This occurs regardless of feeding. What would produce such an effect?

AFAIK O2/CO2 intake/output by plants in night/day cycles do not affect TDS?

Don't dose ferts at all, I did a Google search and someone else noted this occurrence. I'm still thinking it's something to do with the plants O2/CO2 day/night cycle, don't know what else it could be. More for curiosity sake than anything. Anyone else mind taking readings at day and night for a few days and see?

10-20, in the 9g it reads 160 during the day, 170 during night for the past 4 days. In the 20g the discrepancy is larger--varies between 190 during the day to 215 at night. I haven't documented any of my smaller tanks. It's too consistent to just be a margin of error on the meter. Did water changes last week but have not changed/topped off since beginning the readings.

Some plants are pretty active about how they take in carbon and other nutrients. The plant will emit something into the water to exchange it for something they need, or to alter the water chemistry next to the leaf so something they need is more available.
