co2 bubbles not popping fast at surface.

What does this mean? I am running a DIY co2 unit for the past 8 months with no problem and without this happening... the only difference this time is that I used less sugar (ran out) but bubbles were popping for 2 days of this new mixture. Is it a problem? SOME pop, but a lot take a while, and there is a notiable build up of bubbles at surface. running 2 AC HOB filters so there is a good amount of surface agitation. I did top off the water higher than usual today... I dunno, that could be it too. any information you guys and gals have would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have a biofilm or film of bacteria at the surface? That can keep bubbles trapped at the surface.

If your surface agitation is high you are most likely
gassing off most of your Co2. Also check your bottles for leaks. They can leak.
Especially after 8 months.I have had to redo my sealant after that amount of time or after
a little longer.
