What are traces?

OK, I just read the Barr report and I like what he says. I have been kind of doing it the way he says only I do it out of lazyness
There are a few things I would like to know:
What are traces? Is it the CSM+B I bought from Greg Watson?
Right now I dose Potassium Phosphate and Nitrate 2x a week and CSM+B once a week.
Is this enough? What else is recommended? I bought some Potassium Sulfate but I have only dosed a little of that after 50% water changes. I have had my tank up and running for a few months without any big algae problems but I do get some algae between weekly water changes.

I suggest Seachem Flourish for trace elements. It's an excellent formula and will last quite a long time.

NPK are your macro nutrients. All the other nutrients are micro nutrients, also called traces. So, yes, traces are what's in the CSM+B product.

If you follow the EI recommendations, which I do, then you jwould most likely be dosing macros and micros on alternating days, each about 3x per week. This isn't a must, but it is was most tend to do.
