help on creating dosing schedule..

right

just got my ferts in from gregwatson, and of course, i wanna start off properly.

I even got him to buy me a set of measuring spoons (thx greg), so i don't have to recalculate everything into milligrams etc.... notice that I am Danish....

Instead of me messing up something, i was hoping that someone would be kind enough to get me on my way...

here's tank params:

86 gallon
188Watt 2x40W T8, 2x54W T5
Jbl Co2 pressurized with ph control.
aquamedic 1000 reactor

Ph ( with no Co2 addition=8.2 ) with Co2 approx 6.8
dGH 16-17
kH 6-7
No2 0.1
No3 40mg
Fe 0.5-1
po4 0.1

! =)

Probly something like this:
day1 - 50% WC - 1/2tsp KNO3, 1/8 tsp KH2Po4, 1/4tsp K2so4
day2 - 15ml flourish
day3 - same as 1
day4 - same as 2
day5 - same as 1
day6 - same as 2
day7 rest

try that for a few weeks. Monitor your levels every week. then after 3 weeks you can adjust as needed. Keep your co2 levels at 30+ppms

I believe that greg tells you how to mix it so that it is close to flourish. Some serious EI heads here might tell you to does more of the other macros, but i found that my levels were just getting too high. We will let others comment on that. I have a 46 gallon tank and i dose exactly half of what i told you. OF course keep in mind this is assuming that your WC water is basically void of both NO3 and PO4. If it is not, you will have to make some adjustments.

well, my No3 levels from tap is approx 40mg/l, so i wont be dosing any KNO3. But I'll give your schedule a try.... lets see if everyone else agrees!! :-)

Yes, I would simply dose K2SO4 in place of KNO3,

But dose KH2PO4!

A 50% weekly water change will provide 20ppm a week to the tank.
That should be plenty for this light level.

I would stress getting the CO2 to 20-30ppm range when the lighting is on.

I'd dose for this tank:
30ppm of CO3
K2SO4, 1/2 teaspoon: 2x a week
KH2PO4: 1/8 teaspoon: 3x a week
Trace mix: Tropica Master Grow, Flourish or CMS+B 15mls 3x a week

Weekly 50% water changes.

The fish will also add some NO3/NH4.
I lightly vacuum the detritus and prune when doing the water changes.
