Help! My plants are dying

I got my plants about a week ago. When they came overnight in the mail they looked great. No discoloration or holes in the leaves. Now the Italian vals are turning redish brown, the Sagittarius has got transparent holes or spots in the leaves and the water onions look like they have been burnt or dying away. I have been dosing 3.5ml of "flourish excel" and today I have dosed iron and flourish for the first time (day 5) as well as excel this morning.
The java moss is doing great. I have 96wats over a 36 gallon tank. What am I doing wrong.

Please help,
Robert
Sorry They are so big - I resized them once

Are you injecting CO2? Also what are your nitrate and phosphate levels, and have you been dosing macros? Adding the iron and flourish was a wise move, but those plants look like they could use some macroelements as well.

It is normal to lose some old leaves from newly transplanted plants. No need to worry as long as you are getting healthy new growth.

Read other postings on this site for fertilization requirements. Flourish is mainly a trace, you are likely to need to dose extra NPK(macros) in the long run.

40w T6 ODNO4x, no CO2. Discus grow out.
10gallon Tonina tank, 2x15w T6 ODNO 4x

I will do aquascapes after I collect all the plant species and grow them to perfection.

One week dont tell anything... give the plants a chance to acclimate.

Robert, I got some Stargrass and Aromatica a few weeks ago from a fellow aquarist. (4 days in transit) They were in excellent shape, but proceeded to basically "melt." The rest of the plants sent were fine. The Stargrass really bothered me because from what I can gather, it's a no brainer. They are both going gangbusters now!

Consider the plants to be in rehab for a little bit! They will probably surprise you!

I am not injecting co2 -> I was told that excel would work for my tank as a source of co2. This could have been a ploy by the fish store guys to get me to buy more products then I needed.
Will it be enough or do I need another source of co2?

The Java moss is more then a week old. I started with the moss as a way to transition from a fish only tank to a planted tank. When I first started turning the light on a few hours a day a added the moss. It really helped cut back on algae. After the light was up to 7 hours a day, I placed my order for plants. I will try and get a clear full tank picture for anyone who is interested.

Should I cut away the dead and discolored leaves on my plants?
