Testing KH

STUPID ME!!!

I lost my instructions to my Tetra KH test kit. Can anyone tell me if I am to use 5 or 10 mils of water to test???

Call the LFS? I don't know, but AP uses 5ml.

It can be both.

5ml is standard, equating to 1 drop = 1 degree
10ml is more precise, equating to 1 drop = 0.5 degree

You can even use 20ml, 40ml, 2.5ml, 1.25ml etc..... it all comes down to the precision required against the wastage of extra drops!

Thanks!!! I guess I was testing it right. I was using 5mls and used 7 drops to get a color change. I also used 10mls and needed 14 drops for color change. So the KH is 7 and my pH is 6.9 so my CO2 is good!!!
