Baking Soda.

Can baking soda be added to increase calcium levels on a weekly basis after water changes? I think my plants are showing calcium deficiency, but I don't want to buy a test kit. Is there a safe amount that could be added weekly which wouldn't have negative affect on my plants?

Baking soda contains Sodium, not Calcium. It is used to increase KH only, not GH.

Calcium carbonate will incease both KH and GH, but it will also cloud the water for some time after each dose.

To increase Ca only, you can use Calcium Chloride(CaCl2).

Calcium Carbonate, isn't that the stuff that they (the pet stores) sell as sand for use in Hermit Crab cages? (In all different colors including some that glow in the dark too?)
