Bucephalandra Species and Tank Temperature

At night, my tank with bucephalandra species goes down to 64 degrees Fahrenheit. Is that bad for the healthy growth of this species?

I also dose Excel as directed on the bottle daily. Could that be detrimental to the young emergent leaves?

Cris,

Not sure about temp but I've used excel on my Shine Green and they haven't faltered yet. I'd say just don't OD and you'll be fine.

I shot mine with a 2x dose and it didnt like it much. The leaves yellow. Mine recovered fine and did great afterwards. IDK on the temps. I got mine in the spring so they have had 70* water. My house is @65 this winter so I have yet to see on that part. Its an unheated tank. They have been @65 for about a month with pretty good results. My opinion is it take low temps pretty well What are you growing it in and how hard is your water?

I have RO/DI water with pH at 6.7, they're growing on black lava rock and Manzanita driftwood from Jake in Prescott.
