Got my dry ferts in the mail...now what?

Here are a few words on my setup, please recommend a dosing routine that is not as intense as EI.

55 gallon tanks
48in dual t5 28 watts each one 6500k, one 10000k
Lights on for 7 hours a day
Pressurized co2, no drop checker yet, so not sure of ppm
pH runs about 7.5 without co2

I have a digital scale that can measure in .01g incraments.

The ferts that I got are the GLA NPK+CSM B.

I'd rather not do a 50% WC each week, I am more of a 40% every other week type.

What do the gurus have in the way of advice? Thanks in advance.

- Jeff

Certainly not a guru, but if your start with the EI guidelines for your size tank and planted volume, you can develop a dosing regime that supplies your plants with their needs and your need to do biweekly wc's.

The most important factor, what kind of plants are you planning to put in this tank?

From what I can see in your latest picture, I would go about half of the recommended dose from the EI charts until you get more plant mass.

You are really going to want a drop checker.

Yup. You need way more plants for the full dose of EI. Or, as Capsacin said, use less for the amount of plants you have.

Thanks folks, I am hoping to be able to replant trimmings when my plants really start producing. I also have a couple more plants on the way, but nothing big.

Also forgot to mention, I am using rootmedic tabs/capsules and their doing wonders for the crytps.

Thanks for the advice so far, its right in line with my initial thoughts.
