Oscomote in clay?

Anyone ever put oscomote gel caps in clay then bury? I hate the stupid yellow balls that pop up everywhere!! No matter what I do they always make their way to the top and just sit on the sand. Sand's black so looks tacky!

Do you have access to a sewing machine?
Tulle, sewn into small diameter tubes, can be filled with Osmocote, tied off like sausages with a long space between them, and buried.

I got that off an organic (lower case o, I think) farming site.
Why an organic grower would even know what Osmocote is... ;-)

I've a better idea than tulle.
Grab some chop sticks, a tube of gel type super glue, a shallow tray and the bottle of Osmocote.
Dump some Osmocote in the shallow tray.
Squeeze dots or stripes of gel type super glue down the length of the chop stick. Dip glue side of chop stick onto the Osmocote. Let cure. Bury in substrate.

i use a baby medicine dosing syringe with the tip cut off to sink them in the substrate. seems to work well for me. i don't have black sand, though.
