is there a suitable nitrate range to stay within,to keep plants thriving and fish alive and healthy....
my tank is 75g,lighted w/6 t-8's,(2 flora grow,4 daylights),,co2 injected
sub is flourite w/laterite mixed in,,alternating excel and florin multi... daily
fish---4 angels plants..4 bunches wisteria
6 platys ..2 anubias
3 swords ..2 red wenditi
2 corys ..2 java fern
4 serp tetras ..2 bunches anacharis (fish food)
1 rainbow shark ..1moss ball
2 algae eaters
ammonia -0 nitrite-0
my nitate test kit is a cheapy tetra,,i've checked every evening for three days and get the same reading.....12.5 mg/l
i have a 9 hr photo time and after about 6 hrs the plants start bubbling, some from leaves some from roots...
i have very minimal algae growth on glass..
tank has been cycled for 2 weeks now all plants but anacharis are in for 1 week.....
as the plants grow i want to fill in the length of the back w.wisteria,,give the live bearers a place to hide
should i test before and after photo period to collect better data??
does anybody feel i should change any part of my routine,,i know it's early
and everything needs to get established but i don't want anything to crash
