ideal water for a planted discus tank

Just wondering what are the ideal water paramters for a planted discus tank.

My tap water has a gh of 15 and a kh of 3. I have a ro/di system for my reef tank. I can mix any water I want to.

If I do 50/50 I have a gh of 7 and a kh of 1.5

If I do 25/75 I have a gh of 4 and kh of <1 but then I can always add baking soda to correct this.

Any planted discus tank experts out there?

I don't have discus but I do have an Amazon biotype which should be typical for Discus in nature.

It has a kH = 4, GH = 4 and a pH =6.5.

This may be inappropriate for your Discus; however, as Discus have been grown under a fairly wide varity of parameters. Probably the best thing to do is find out what parameters the breeder used and duplicate these.

If you play with chemicals you should know some chemisty.
