water changes

So I am doing the dry fert dosing according to the sticky in this forum for my low tech tank. I am also doing a large water change every sunday, which afterwards I add my GH. I noticed in a lot of discussion it was adivised to not do weekly water changes on low tech planted tanks. Is this true? If so can I still do the GH weekly? Thanks

You do whatever you please on water change frequency you just adjust your dosing to your tanks needs. I found my plants were much happier with weekly water changes when using tap water most likely because that was the main source of NO3 and PO4 since I wasn't dosing any.
