CSM+B How are you mixing?

Ive been searching, maybe not well enough but... What are the guidelines for mixing a batch of CSM+B? I am currently dosing my ferts under Tom Barrs index. I would like to dose my 55 gal tank everyother day with it.

Thank You

Then how much would you dose? 10mL / 10 gal , or less?

For 10 Gal, I would dose it 1ML ....

Now how I got that ....

How To Dose Plantex CSM

One of the most common questions asked is "I currently use Flourish, How Do I Dose Plantex CSM?"
The traditional PMDD recipe doses both Macro and Micro nutrients together. However, many of us are used to dosing macro nutrients separately from micro nutrients. You can "roll your own" micro nutrient solution by simply creating your own micro nutrient solution. To make your own micro nutrient solution, mix 1

How to roll your own PMDD Micro-Nutrient Solution with Plantex CSM+B

Plantex CSM has no Boron in it, so it must either be added, or purchased from a supplier who pre-mixes Plantex CSM+B. To add Boron to Plantex CSM, add 10.5 teaspoons of Plantex CSM plus 1 teaspoon of Boric Acid.

To make your dosing solution, mix in 1/2 litre of water:

1 tablespoon of Plantex CSM+B and
1 tablespoon of Magnesium Sulfate in 1/2 litre of water.

A 1/2 liter of Plantex CSM Dosing Solution is a lot of solution for the typical aquarium, so you may wish to experiment by reducing the quantities to make a smaller batch. To reduce, you may wish to try 1 teaspoon of Plantex CSM+B and 1/6th liter of water (167 milliliters).

How to Dose your own PMDD Micro-Nutrient Solution with Plantex CSM+B

The traditional PMDD Micro-Nutrient Solution with Plantex CSM+B is not as concentrated as commercial alternatives such as Flourish and TMG. A good approximate equivalent is 1.25 tablespoons of Plantex CSM to 1 tablespoon of Flourish.

If you are used to dosing 1 tablespoon of Flourish, try dosing approximately 1.25 tablespoons of your Plantex CSM Solution. (@www.gregwatson.com)

&

DIRECTIONS: Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 250 L (60 gallons*) once or twice a week. For smaller doses, please note that each cap thread is approximately 1 mL. Refrigeration after opening is recommended but not required. (@www.seachem.com)

For 10 gallons, You would dose .83 ml (flourish) which => 1.0375 ml CSM - pretty backwards way of figuring that out huh?

Craig- I mixed 250ml of H20 ( 1 cup) + 1 tablespoon. The mix looks pretty strong?

Like ThomE posted, Greg Watson calls for 1T in 500ml (1/2 liter) of water.

Based on Edward's PPS trace dosing recommendations, dose this mix at 1ml/10gal for tanks under high light. He doesn't say specifically, but I would guess he's talking over 4wpg. Under less light he recommends reducing dosages accordingly to where he states that under 1.5wpg or less you would dose only fractional ml/10 gal.

yeah. it's 1 TBSP for 500mL.
My container was just 250mL, so I used 1/2 TBSP.
Don't forget to add Plantex CSB+B as well as MgSO4 (same amt of each).

Do I really need to mix Magnesium Sulfate with the CSM+B?

Don't look at it
Just dose it.
Don't mix nothing else with it...

P.S. if you are worried about it being to strong, just dose half for a full, till you feel comphy!!
I tried dosing it with the mix posted above per greg's instructions, just seemed weak,
I dose strong with good results...even Tom dose's on the strong hard side if that is any consolation.
