4 pH testers - all return different values!

This is absolutely as frustrating as it gets. I have recently noticed my plants doing worse and couldnt figure out why. I always have a pinpoint pH reader on my planted tank and the pH seemed accurate for the amount of KH and co2 I was supposively pumping in.

I had just ordered a new pinpoint for another tank and decided to see how accruate the 2 were (see if they got the same reading). And... nope. One said 6.9 and the other said 6.5. I then got out my liquid tester and it says ~7.2. I then got out my Milwaukee pH53 tester and said 7.1. I dont trust the pH53 one though because I cant get it to calibrate properly.

I had recalibrated both pinpoints that day. in fact, I even recalibrated them a 2nd time that day to make sure I didnt screw something up.

I am clueless... but if my liquid tester is accruate, then I am pumping way too little co2 into the tank. any thoughts?

Edit>>> I also had a Discus die the other day... can only figure it is due to some wild pH swings.. my power went out for 7 hours the other day so my co2 tank stopped pumping into the water... the co2 was also much slower after that, so I had to reset it (this was over a week ago though).

Yeah that is pretty pathetic. One thing you could do is calibrate your controller, let some of your tank water sit out a day or two then check ph of your water thats released the excess co2 with controller, then set your controller .6 to .8 below what ever your tank water is without the co2 then even if its off .5 it will still lower it only .8.
