How to dose GLA green ferts package?

Well, I got some nice fertilizers in hopes my planted tank ordeal would work out better. I got this package from GLA http://www.greenleafaquariums.com/aq...rtilizers.html
It came yesterday and I am not sure what to do with it. About all I know is some of each goes into the tank. How do you figure out how much of everything? what do you start off with? I looked at the dosing regimes sticky and I don't get it. So I am lost and confused and need some help. Here is all my tank info that I can think of:
50 gallon with fluorite substrate.
Aquatic life T5ho fixture 2-54 watt roseate t5ho bulbs on 8 hours.
aquatic life co2 regulator with integrated solenoid valve.
aquatic life ph controller.
eheim ecco pro 60 canister filter.
I have an airstone running all the time and have the outflow of the canister filter breaking the surface as well.
I am getting a new bubble counter diffuser soon as well. Right now I have a plastic piece of crap 2 in one deal for that.
Please feel free to also give input on the setup. I want to make sure the setup is alright as well or ferts won't matter anyway. Thanks everyone.

Check out the sticky in the ferts section on dosing.

I did more than once and I said I didn't understand it. I don't get it at all and I am about to give up on this high tech planted tank thing. So if anyone could explain it to me I would really be appreciative. That sticky is not new user friendly, there should be one that is easy to understand for beginners.

if you search for EI dosing... just follow what they put down for your tank size. Remember, its called estimative index for a reason, its an estimate.

I truthfully only dose whats on there about every 2 weeks. the Micros seem to be the most important in my tank. But the best thing you can do is start to follow it and test your water.

The other thing you want to make sure depending on how much is doing water changes. That was the main reason im only doing about what half is recommended for EI

sorry i didnt catch that part. heres a dosing schedule you can use and see how well your tank responds to it.

Sunday-----Day1), 50% or more H20, 1/2Tsp-KN03, 1/8-ish/Tsp-KH2P04
Monday-----Day2) 10ml Trace, 2ml-Fe (optional )
Tuesday----Day3) 1/2Tsp-KN03, 1/8ish/Tsp-KH2P04
Wednesday-Day4) See day2
Thursday---Day5) See day3
Friday------Day6) See day2
Saturday---Day7) Nothing or prune
Sunday-----Day8) See day1

The easiest method of adding the ferts to the tank is to simply use a measuring spoon to measure the amount of each fert and dump it straight into the tank.

if u bought the gla package, you will not need the potassium sulfate K2SO4.. the others are spelled exactly how they are spelled in EI dosing regimine.

u have a 50 gallon tank SOOOO
40~60gal
50% H20 change-weekly
1/2 Tsp-KN03 3x a week MON WED FRI
1/8 Tsp-KH2P04 3x a week MON WED FRI
3/4 Tsp-GH booster once a week SUNDAY
10ml or 1/8Tsp-Trace 3x a week TUE THUR SAT
Optional
2-4ml-Fe/Iron 3x a week to be dosed when you do trace which is CSM+B

that's my schedule. sunday is my water change which is when u add GH BOOSTER

I really wish I would have taken chemistry. I am trying to understand and I don't. That is a bad feeling....

No chemistry is needed to understand this. It's quite simple once you get a hang of it. Let's say you were following the schedule I posted. On sunday you would do a 50% water change. Following the water change just grab your measuring spoon and measure out 1/2Tsp of KNO3 and dump it straight into the tank. Then go onto KH2PO4 and measure out 1/8 tsp and dump it into the tank. And finally 3/4tsp of GH Booster. That's it, you're done with day 1. Do this exact same thing on Tuesday and Thursday minus the water change and GH booster. For Monday, Wednesday and Friday add 1/8Tsp of CSM+B. You could also add 1/16tsp( half of your 1/8tsp or Iron) nothing needs to be done on Saturday

Ok so I should also probably mention I use Reverse osmosis water. I add kent r/o right to it. I probably should add baking soda for KH but I haven't started doing that yet. Also, I don't really test my water and I hate testing, so what would I really need to test for in a planted tank situation?
Now questions about the dosing regimes that were posted.
Why don't I need the potassium sulfate?
Why a 50% water change once a week? That is going to be hard to do considering I use an r/o system and buckets and have a bunch of other tanks. Is that really necessary? Is there any way around that? I usually do 10% a week, but I could do a bit more I suppose. The tank is very understocked with fish. Also, I add my gh booster, r.o right to my water change water, is that ok to do?
What does CSM+B stand for?

OK the bags u recieved from green leafe SAY on them KNO3 AND KH2PO4 AND K2SO4 and CSM+B
now being that you have a 50 gallon, to follow Estimative Index
You need a weekly schedule
I imagine you have sunday off, if not just use it as a reference
Starting this comming sunday do a 50% water change, add 3/4 teaspoon of GH Booster (seachem equilibrium is what i use)
You have 3 days you will need to dose Macros (major nutrients)
You have 3 days you will need to dose Micros (minor or trace elements)
Macros are KNO3 and KH2PO4------- Trace is CSM+B these doses alternate
tsp= teaspoon
Monday-Macro----1/2 Tsp-KN03 1/8 Tsp-KH2P04
Tuesday-Trace----1/8Tsp CSM+B
Wednesday-Macro----1/2 Tsp-KN03 1/8 Tsp-KH2P04
Thursday-Trace----1/8Tsp CSM+B
Friday-Macro----1/2 Tsp-KN03 1/8 Tsp-KH2P04
Saturday-Trace----1/8Tsp CSM+B
Sunday- 3/4 teaspoon GH Booster (after 50% water change)
FE or Iron can be dosed optionally with your trace elements of CSM+B

Estimative index was designed to provide without limitation, safe levels of nutrients for plants. No testing involved.
the 50% water change is to reset nutrient levels in case your plants aren't using them, or has used less or more of one.
potassium sulfate is not necessary because the phosphorous and nitrogen are bonded with potassium, its already there

CSM+B is calcium sulfate magnesium and boron. it also contains other trace elements such as iron manganese and i believe zinc

why not use tap water? saves trouble from having to remineralize water

You don't need K2SO4 because there is plenty of potassium in KNO3.

Ok thank you so much for explaining that, I feel like I am loosing my mind.
As for my tap water it is actually well water. It is more like liquid rock than water. Sometimes it contains more than ideal organics. African cichlids might like it. And besides this tank is in my basement and there is no water faucet down there at all. I get rid of the old tank water by pumping it into the sump pump from a large trashcan. All my other tanks are upstairs I usually dump the old water out my window or water the garden with it.
Would I need Gh booster in addition to r/o right or in place of?
