Pre-mixing Ferts question...

I've been using the pFertz line for dosing N,P,K and Micros for the last 8 months or so. Getting tired of spending that kind of money, so I was thinking of starting dry... but, I have plenty of these bottles laying around. I've measured and know that one pump=1ml of solution. Is there any reason that I shouldn't buy dry ferts and pre-mix in the pFertz bottles?

Thanks for the help!

No reason at all. A lot of people buy dry and make their own solutions to dose.

I make a solution for a 50 gallon tank in an old soda bottle so it's weak, my tank is a 150 so I can easily adjust my dosing without any trouble. I mix 200 ml of solution so I need to make a batch every two weeks or so, and don't forget to add 5 ml or so of Excel to any micro solution to prevent mold, but it's way cheap compared to Pfertz. BTW a baby medicine dosing syringe works well for dosing ml's

Sounds great... anybody have an idea if there's a decent calculator for these things? I know there was one for pps at some point in time...
