Question regarding DSM and water changes??

I recently set up a 75 gallon dirt tank, grew the plants out emersed for about 2 months, and have now flooded the tank about 2 weeks ago. I am EI dosing and have the co2 cranked up, probably to a point where I am wasting it but I get co2 for free so I figured without any fish more would be better. So far the tropica 049 has shown some melting but not terrible, the crypts are doing alright and are bouncing back well.

Anyways my questions are:

Should I be doing water changes at this point? Is there any benefit?

Could there be any negative effects from injecting huge amounts of co2 in the tank? Obviously when I add fish I will lower it significantly.

water changes are no big issue at this point but your plants do need O2 at dark. Maybe try pumping some air into the tank also. You can switch the co2 off a night and run the air stone and then switch when lights on.

BTW you should still change water but once a week may not be necessary.

Also is there any reason to use dechlorinator when there arent any fish in there? Will the chlorine have any negative effect on the plants?

I don't believe it will hurt the plants at all - pretty sure straight tap is fine at this point.
