Hazy or Milky Water?????

Yesterday my water was hazy and hard to see thru so I thought a water change today might do the trick but it looks the same after a 50% WC. I've been thinking about adding a power head or something because the tank definitely needs some more water flow and my water is very soft and with some test kits I can not get a reading, I do have some gH booster in the mail.

Any thoughts ???

I've been reading in some algae articles that a low kH can make at tank very unstable, but I'm not exactly sure what that means.

Unstable as being able to get different types of algae??

I don't see any reason why this could be the start of green water other than circulation or kH if thats possible, am I typing at myself, wooooooo.

Check ammonium/nitrite levels. Could be something wasting away in the tank? Is your filtration appropriate, media clean, etc? Overstocked, overfeeding?

A very low kH means low buffer capacity, which can make the pH fluctuate. Not necessarily making things unstable, nor causes hazy or green water.

Thanks for the reply Wasserpest, Amonnia 0, Nitrites 0.1, and the tank is clean and everybody is accounted for, I can't figure out what is going on. I did feed them some frozen bloodworms yesterday or the day before, it seemed as if they got it all but some could have been missed, it just doesn't seem like enough to matter and my stock density is 0.63 inches per gallon and should be ok. By lights out it seem to be a little lighter so maybe by morning things will be better.
