Just freeze the osmocote pellets with a tiny bit of water into an ice cube tray. After it hardens, push it deep down into the substrate.

I've had trouble with the fertcicles process. Mine kept melting and breaking apart before I got them down under the substrate, so I had to work fast. I ended up buying empty gel caps via Amazon for the next time. Takes a bit more time to load them up, but they work very well.

I think gelatin capsules should work. "0", "00", and 1 inch sizes should do the job also although this is just my guess. I recently found some osmocote plus at the local Home depot on clearance so I decided to give them a try. I picked up some 1 inch gelatin capsules as well from amazon. Lets hope everything works out.

I like the "00" size.

I've been using "Multicote" as it's available locally, but most use "Osmocote plus".

Osmocote has a thinner membrane, so it will get nutrients to your plant roots more quickly.
