Trace Mix

Hi Everyone,

Can some one offer some help with dosing this trace mix?

I picked it up from a Hydro store and it seems to compare pretty well to the Plantex CSM+B which I have had a difficult time finding locally.

The analysis is as follows:

Chelated Micronutrient Gaurantee (100grams approx. 4 ounce package):
Iron..............7.0%
Manganese.....2.0%
Zinc..............0.4%
Copper..........0.1%
Boron............1.3%
Molybdenum...0.66%

Compared to what I have read about CSM+B there are a few differences; CSM+B contains 1.5% Magneseium and an EDTA content of 55% which is not noted in this mix. There are some descrepancies in the Boron count and the Molybdenum - this mix has a more.

How do I mix this (trace) - ie. how much and how much do I put in my tank (90 gallons)?

Is this mix close enought to mix the same as PlantexCSM+B?

Should I be concerned with the lack of EDTA?

Do I need to add anything further such as Magnesium?

edta is just a chelate..Its a an acid used to make iron etc...usuable to plants..

The mix your using is possibly has edta as a chelate as well..If not it has some sort of chelate..so no worries there...

My only concern is the polybdenum..Its a metal and im not sure of its toxicity with shrimp and fish at that level...

If you can confirm it not being toxic then dose 1/4 tsp 3x week.

Magnesium can also be added..I only add after water change days tho..
add 4 tsp for 90 gallons.
