ferts and purigen

are ferts absorbed by purigen? if they are does that mean you need to overdose ferts?

No and no. They adsorb dissolved organics not the inorganic ferts that are usually used.

+1 : I've heard you can run that risk if you ran carbon instead of purigen. Between that and the fact purigen keeps my tanks clear while having wood in there gets a gold star in my book.
