Need Nitrates

My tank is eating nitrates fast. I'm going to order some from Greg Watson but he won't be able to ship until March 1st. Nitrates are about 2.5 ppm from about 5 ppm. I've already been to 3 Pet Smarts, 2 Petcos, and 3 LFS. No nitrate anywhere. Is there another way to raise it. I do have Flourish, but my phoshate level is at 1 ppm, and I don't want to raise it. Algae is spreading.

40 gallon SeaClear Acrylic, 192 watt Orbit Lunar PC, Filstar XP2, Filstar XP1, JBJ Regulator, Rhinox 5000 glass co2 diffusor, 9 watt UV sterilizer, Hydor Inline Heater, Pool Filter Sand substrate
Filstar pimp #53

Stump Remover. "Green Light" or "Grant's" are at least two Stump Remover's that have been proven safe for planted tanks. I've been using Green Light for 3 years with no problems. You should be able to find it in the gardening section of Home Depot, Lowe's or Wal-Mart.

Go to the local feed store. See if you can get some potassium nitrate or salt peter. Or check a old time drugstore if you have any left. They should be able to order it.
