night swings

How much of a ph swing is generally allowable overnight for fish without harm.
Mine changes from 7.2 at the end of the day to 6.9 in the morning.

I wouldn't say that's too far from normal although I think that's a little higher than I would like it myself.

What are your current water parameters?

If you KH is low, you might be able to reduce the swing by increasing it a bit.

Thats not a terrible PH swing. Watch for fish gasping in the morning before lights come on. If they do, then increase the surface agitation a little to get a little more air exchange at the surface.
