1.0 pH drop relative to which recording?

Tankwater left in a cup to sit out for 24 hours is 8.2 pH.

Tankwater right before CO2 comes on is 7.9 pH.

Seems like it's not fully degassing overnight. Do I aim for a 1.0 pH drop from 8.2 or 7.9?

8.2. That should be your water with no CO2 dissolved so that is your baseline to start at.
