Soft water wild betta and hard water nerite

So I noticed there's a line missing from my thorn nerite's shell and figured the water is too soft. However, this tank also houses a wild betta and they're notorious for soft water. My question is whether or not to add calcium to the tank or to take my nerite out and put her in my second tank. Both are 5 gallons, the second already houses a nerite snail and 6 male endlers and some shrimp. It works, but I'm not sure if adding a second nerite snail is going to throw it out of balance (they're such poopers). Any advice?
