Epsom salts to increase magnesium

Has anyone ever used Epsom salts(magnesium sulfate heptahydrate usp) to increase magnesium in a freshwater tank? Some of my plants are showing signs of magnesium deficiency but when I looked up this type of magnesium, I only see it being used for marine tanks.

Yes, get the grocery store brand and make sure it doesn't have any scents or additives.

I used rotalabutterfly.com to put my tank dimensions and it gave me the dose I needed.Currently I am just dosing on sundays after the water change.

From my understanding it will not fix the holes in the older leaves but will notice the difference in growth in new leaves as they get older so keep the routine going for 4 weeks before you notice a difference
