I have been adding Ca, Mg, K to my RO water to make my own GH booster. Its time consuming to measure each part and want to combine them into one so I can just take one scoop and be done. What is the proper way to mix the three parts together into one container like seachem equilibrium?
How do I figure what ratio to use and how much of the final product to mix?
It would be really nice to make a concentrated solution and then just dose it. However, I don't think with solubilities it will work.
Depending on what salts you are mixing, you if they get any humidity, you will start to get chunks - and that sucks (happened with my old mix). I had premixed 10 containers at once and then remineralized with one as needed.
Since then, I did smaller batches 5 containers ... that worked.
Then I did away with remineralizing all together - much happier now - but my water has enough Mg and Ca + I dose EI for my K supply.
I think the ideal scenario for the remineralize is to either:
1) mix it all up and grind it small small ... then experiment and see if it sticks. If it does, never do that again.
2) Get a container with 3 compartments and pre-fill 50.
