Question Fluval G6 - what can it do?

Hi Everybody,
I'm not looking for a filter, I ended up on the Fluval G6 product, starting reading the user manual and was wondering if there's anyone that knows much about the G6? Seems like it has the ability to monitor the water but it stops short of actually providing data with regard to nutrient levels. Seems like most of the literature falls short of answering my ultimate curiosity, "Can it detect nutrient levels"?

This is my favorite filter Ive ever used. Period. Ive had it running on my discus tank for 7 years without missing a beat. But, I maintenance it per manufacturers recommendations. As to your question, this filter monitors conductivity numbers ( total numbers) but does not tell you what this measurement consists of.
I do find this ( monitoring of EC) helpful as a gauge to monitor any drastic changes in my tap-water. If I notice any sudden differences I will test my tap for GH and TDS. I do not use it to monitor declining water quality, but you can do that as well.
Here are the benefits of monitoring EC:

@DigityDog70 - did the above help you at all?
