Dosing during cycling

I'm setting up a new 5 gallon planted tank. It will start out being moderately planted on the higher side I'd say. I know healthy plants are very ideal for a new tank. Should dosing be handled differently during this phase? I will be doing 6hrs of light and liquid co2 (does a drop checker work for liquid co2?)

I want fast growth during initial set up but no algae. That's probably too much to ask for a tank that's not cycled yet.

This looks like a detailed how to with a planted tank with dosing. It basically says to use 1/3 micronutrients and lower dose of macro with higher potassium because pre-fertilized substrate (i'm using fluval stratum) will soak it up. Reduced other macros because the substrate will give them off.

dose starting day 1. you want the plants to sense they are in a nutrient rich environment. It will activate them into growing mode. Dose according to how much plant mass you have.
