Gathered rocks

I recently gathered several rocks that I liked from an excavation site that I was working on. I cleaned them up and tested with muriatic acid... got some mild fizzing. Going to test them in some water change water for a time to see the effects on water chemistry. My understanding from what I have read, is that "fizzing" just means calcium carbonate in the rock and may raise PH, GH, & KH. Since I have soft water and need to add a fair amount of GH Booster each week, I am guessing a slight increase from the rocks shouldn't be much of any issue. I am also figuring with the size of the tank (90 gallon w/ 20 gallon sump) with 50% weekly water changes should help as well.

Does this all sound right or am I missing anything?
