Exclamation CO2, PPS Method

Sorry for the newb questions I recently aquascaped my 36 gallon tank and have several questions that I cant seem to piece from browsing the net.

Do I need to add alkaline buffer to raise my PH back to 7.2 since it has dropped to 6.6 during CO2 injection? I am also using the rotala butterfly calculator and putting in the values I wish to achieve. Example Nitrogen 5ppm, Potassium 10ppm, Phosphates 1ppm. is the amounts given to dose to reach target based on weekly, daily etc? I usually do water changes every 2 to 3 weeks at 20-30%. if say for example I am aiming to get 1 ppm phosphate I would add 34 ML based on rotala calculator. would I divide the amount up in dosing by two or three weeks?

1) Do not compensate for pH drops caused by CO2. Such drops in pH are harmless.

2) Post all of your tank parameters (light, PAR value at substrate, CO2 methods, substrate type, cleaning regimen, ALL dosing, test results for NO3, PO4, GH, KH and pH) so we can better help.

my Nitrates are at 10, PH is 7.2 before CO2 kicks on, KH is 3 and GH 5. My lighting is a finnex planted + so im guessing medium to high (read different things on forums).

Bump: Phosphates are .25 and par value should be about 50 based on substrate depth to the light

How far down to the substrate is your light? Is it the 24/7 Planted+ or the Fugeray Planted+?

Well, if itís the Fugeray Planted+ my Seneye measures about 60-65 PAR at 14Ē. It would be a safe bet youíre between 40-50 PAR at the substrate.

PPS-Pro is premixed liquid fertilizer dosed daily and the quantity is based on the aquarium size. It is made of K2SO4, KNO3, KH2PO4, MgSO4 and Trace Element Mix. What are you using?
