Dosing with the lights on or off or does it even matter?

Thought I would throw this one out to the community. Does it matter WHEN you actually dose your ferts? As in should you do it while the lights are on and the CO2 is running or should you do it when they are off? Are some ferts better absorbed during one or the other?

Couldn't find an answer anywhere so I thought I would ask.

Thanks!

Depends on pH really. Some nutrients (Fe in particular) are often found in products that will break apart in higher pH's (6.5+).

So, when CO2 is running, pH drops thus allowing the Fe to be available.

Other's, such as NO3, PO4 and K can be done whenever.
