Is CSM+B necessary with this regiment ?

Hey folks, I'm dosing the following ferts into my 29 Gallon tank. 1/8 tsp of KH2PO4,K2SO4,MGS04, twice a week. I recently stopped KNO3 because my nitrates are through the roof right now. I also add 1/4 teaspoon of Calcium on water change day,and 1/8 tsp. chelated Iron twice a week.... My question is, do I really need to add CSM+B to all this, or am I covered ?

Thanks as always !!

Jim

Micro nutrients are always “required” but there’s usually a smidgen in tap water. For a low light tank with slow growers it’s probably not necessary, but I’d say even a low tech with stems or other decently quick growing plants, they should be added. Just not at the levels of full on EI.

What solution you go with to dose micros is up to you, but I’d say yes, you should dose them so you don’t get deficiencies.

Thank You for your response/ advice !! I should have mentioned this is a high light, high co2 tank... I'll go ahead and dose a small amount and pay close attention. The whole ' trace toxicity' debate from a while ago is still rattling around in my head !!

Thanks again....

I’d say start off with following the EI regimen, then, and go from there. You can always increase or decrease depending on what you see.
