I posted about a month ago asking for advice About a nutrient diffenceny and it was determined that my low PH from my ada soil has stripped the calcium out of my water and its the most likely cause ( makes sense because plant leaves were growing all spiral like, snail shells look horrendous.) i was told to get a GH booster which i did and i started dosing about 1 tbps twice a week.

Now i believe its helped a bit because my plants are no longer growing all spirally, but my crypts are still melting a bit and snail shells keep getting worse. Are there any test kits to measure Ca, and anyone ever try adding cuttlebones to your filter to add a continues stream of calcium? I read some people add it directly to their tank but the look of that is ugly.

Tank info:
72 bow front
48” Fluval planted LED 3.0
Co2
PPS pro 15ml micro/ macro everyday (except sunday)
40-50% water change every week

I actually dont know my cities analysis report. Out of the tap the PH is about 8 then settles to 7.6. I do need to buy more tests kits because mine are all out dated. should I test the different of KH between my tap and tank water?
