CO2 PH and Flow

With a medium to high light, CO2 injected, deep corner tank, even distribution of CO2 is always a concern. What I've been wondering about is can I track the dispersion of my CO2 throughout the tank by taking water samples from different areas and testing the PH? Another words, using an empty syringe, I can grab some individual samples from different spots throughout the tank and test the PH. Is the PH change from CO2 instantaneous? If I'm not getting good CO2 circulation throughout the tank could I measure the difference with the finest Chinese made PH pen that $10 can buy?
