As I知 in the process of fishless cycling my tank with plants in it, I知 realizing this is causing algae problems. I suppose my tank is medium tech? I have diy CO2, and a fluval 3.0 on a tall 35 hex tank.

I was trying to keep ferts to a minimum or as simple as possible. Most of my plants or low demand

Anubias cofeefolia
Anubias petite
Java fern
Italian val
Marsilea crenata
Xmas moss
Ludwigia repens
Rotala rotundafolia
Crypt retrospiralis
Crypt wendtii
Crpyt undulata
Crypt petchii
Banana plant

Can I get away with an all in one fert, it can anyone recommend an easy dosing regimen with liquid or dry fertilizer?

I have flourish comprehensive, and iron supplement, and some flourish root tabs and a liquid K source, but I have no idea how to put this into a good routine.

Oh I did just purchase excel. I知 a little hesitant to use it though with my vals, especially since they are recovering from melting initially.

"Thrive" from NilocG.com is an all in one product, liquid.

dunno if there is an all in one

but most people will split it between Macros and Micro nutrients.

i use a plastic squirt bottle to hold liquid macro fertz. and another bottle to hold micro fertz.

i give my tank a squeeze once a week or so. you be the judge.

Each bottle has a pre-mixed packet so adjustments can't be made.
If moderately planted just dose 1/2 or 1/3 EI levels.

If I did 1/2 could I do 35% water change weekly? I mix RODI with tap water, but can稚 store enough currently to do 50% water change.

Yeah I guess that makes sense since KNO3 is already mixed in.

With my plants do I need a full EI regimen?

Help me with dosing.

I picked up liquid fertz to dose my tank via EI method.

http://nilocg.com/liquid-npk-m-liqui...500ml-bottles/

Since my tank is not super densely planted, and I my lighting not super high I have started by dosing macros and micros twice a week each. Is this a good idea and then how do I tell if I need to make adjustments?

My vals and crypt retroapiralis have yet to really do much in the back.
