Potassium Nitrates(KNO3)

Hey Guys

I see that Garden shops sells KNO3 and it consist of 13-0-44. Is this correct because I see nitrates only 13%. Where I live I cant order from any planted store like GLA, Barr or Nilocg. So I need to find fertz else where.

Thanks in advance

Yep thatís the correct analysis. Only thing I would watch for is any sort of treatments such as a nitrogen stabilizer that they may have added. If itís pure KNO3 you should be fine.

Shouldn't it be labeled as 14-0-39? Just curious.

Don't go by percentage, that means very little. 113 milligrams of KNO3 is enough to raise your tank nitrate levels by 5 ppm in 10 gallons. If anything you should try to go by molarity but ppm or mg/L seems to be the standard in the aquarium industry.
plurmaster and plurmaster like this.
