Help in understanding KH and GH test results

My tap water on the KH test requires 10-11 drops of solution to get “bright orange”? My GH takes 3-4 drops to get green without any hint of orange. What does this mean as far as plants and fish are concerned?

Need to know what test you are using and what the instructions say. When I test mine I just look for the color change, not necessarily "bright" color change. A KH of 10-11 is really high and would make your water pretty basic. Have you tested pH? Do this right from the tap and after 24 to 36 hours of sitting in a bucket and see if there is any change.
