dosing po4 help

I bought a product called Super Phosphate it is 0-18-0 in granular form . Does any one have any idea what ratio to mix in solution or dry dose this stuff. I have a 29 gal with generally 0-.25 ppm po4

what are the ingredients? sounds like a terrestrial fert. it'll probably work, but you need to list the ingredients. It might just be KHPO4, in which case you can use Chuck's calculator to make a stock solution. you definitely don't want to dry dose phosphate!

It is for terrestial plants. All it says on the label is: Available Phosphoric Acid (P2O5) 18%-Sulphur elemental(S) 12%

Not knowing much about anything that isn't sold by Greg Watson I can't really give you any solid advice, but if that does use Phosphoric Acid look for a possible pH drop if you use it. Sounds similar to those dangerous pH lowering buffers sold at the lfs.

The computer allows you to make mistakes faster than any other invention, with the possible exception of handguns and tequila.

Like Travis mentions, phosphoric acid will lower you pH. You should do some tests in a bucket of water before you try it out in your tank. Or play it safe and either buy some plain Fleet enema or order some KH2PO4 from Gregwatson.com for your PO4 dosing.

Dude, just go to drugstore and buy fleet enema. It's cheap and easy to dose. I tested it with the original bottle (the squeeze bottle and tip). 1 drop will increase 0.1ppm of PO4 for each 10gl of water. So in your case, 3 drops will increase 0.1ppm PO4 in your tank. NOte that their drop size is smaller than standard dropper.

Yeah, I wouldn't add that to my tank.
