What to dose in Low Light Tank?

Hello,

I have a cycled tank with one Anubis so far. I just ordered 7 more plants from the "low light" plant list on this site. My tank is 90 gallons, low tech, with 2 current planted plus fixtures. The Anubis is doing fine so far with no dosing. I figure with getting more plants, I will need to start doing something. I ordered some swords, red flame, spiralis, anubias, 4 leaf clover and dwarf hair grass.

I could read all day with different opinions from different threads but I wanted to start a convo on my scenario. I'm looking for something some what inexpensive and easy to dose. Can you guys shoot me some ideas on a good route to go?

Thanks!

Look at thrive by nilocg. A little more up front but is good stuff that will last a good while. By the time you buy the seachem line youíve bought this

Cool, that stuff looks legit. So dosing that is all I need? Can you over dose it? Do you do the water change Every time before you dose?

You can definitely over dose it. Just follow the directions and it will be fine

Was there directions on there or just what was on the bottle?

Since it looks to be the exact same product that is labeled as Easy Green, just follow the directions on the bottle. Itís pretty well balanced AFAICT unless you are dealing with plants with specific needs, like higher Iron dosing and the like.

Iíve been using the Easy Green version with pretty good results in non-CO2 tanks, even after heavy planting.

Switching from the seachem line to Thrive not only simplified the process, but had drastically improved the growth in my tank.

I would be very careful dosing in a low tech tank. Easy to get algae outbreaks dosing in low tech or even low light aquariums.

Thanks for the info everyone. I went with the easy green one since it's the same as thrive and a little cheaper. I'm for sure gonna start out dosing slow to see how everything reacts. Does anyone recommend root tabs as well? Not sure if I need them.
