Excel timing

My lights run from about 2 - 9 pm each day (so I can get the most viewing hours). I leave for work at like 6:30 am and get home around 4 pm. I know the general recommendation is to dose Excel a bit before your lights come on but is 7 hours ahead too soon? Am I better off being a bit late around 2 hours after they come on? Thanks!

I think either would be fine; more importantly is that you are consistent with your dosing.

From what I understand excel generally stays usable for about 12 hours. So somewhere around 5 hours of that would be usable in your case. You could DIY a dosing pump to dose right as lights come on.

Just dose when you get home. Personal opinion of course but I run five on, four off and five on. Get home after the lights have been on an hour and dose. That gives me the biggest bang for buck as far as Excel and available light.

id say better to dose early to have it in the tank system for the light sesh.

id also say don't worry too much. I dose excel after I get back from work and sometimes i forget and i never measure. I use a squirt bottle and give it a little skeet here and there.
